Title: Two Against the World

"So what is on your mind, Kenshi-san?" Robin leaned against the swordsman's shoulder.
"Nn?" Zoro raised a furrowed brow. "Nothing in particular."
"Really?" Robin teased. "You look so pensive. Must be something interesting."
"And who says I'm going to tell you?" Zoro smirked at her adorable pouty face.
"Then it must be something wicked." Robin moved to face him.
"I was thinking about how I want to chain you to the ship's mast and have my way with you."
"Oh, now you're making fun of me." Robin laughed and shoved him.
"I'm serious." Zoro insisted, somehow managing to keep a straight face.
"In broad daylight?" Robin inquired, raising an eyebrow. "The sun is setting soon, but still."
"Yeah, why not? The others are off somewhere else, and even if they are around, we'll do it anyway."
Robin knew him better than that. He refused to show any public display of affection, especially around the others. Though they probably knew by now, Zoro still liked to keep their relationship as private as possible. Robin also knew just how feral he could be when they made love. He would usually try to be in control, but often would fall prey to Robin's many sprouting limbs.
Zoro drew her closer and wrapped his arms around her. He kissed the nape of her neck and buried his face in her hair for a moment before he finally broke the silence again.
"Actually, I was thinking of how perfect this is. Just the two of us, no distractions. A beautiful sunset."
Now this Robin didn't expect. Zoro, being romantic? She could feel the sincerity in his words. Maybe he was being serious.
"It is a magnificent view from way up here." Robin sighed. "I do agree, it is nice being away from everything for a while."
"Perhaps once we have reached the end of our adventures with Luffy, we can go somewhere by ourselves. Live out our dreams, take the world on."
Robin laughed softly. She wondered if that was even possible, then again, they were sailing with a crew that defied anything that seemed impossible.
"Two against the world." Robin mused.
At that she tightened her grip on his hand. And they continued on in silence, indulging in the scenery of the glittering sea ahead and the decorated landscape of this quiet little island. With the skies painted in tones of vermillion and warm violets from the setting sun, yes, this was bliss. This was perfect.
